Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice is an official publication of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
The first issue of the journal debuted in March 2008 and was produced by Wiley-Blackwell Publishing. The journal is now being published by Cambridge University Press, a world leader in journal production. The journal is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December.
SIOP members receive this publication as a part of membership. Members can access the journal electronically by logging into the SIOP website and clicking the link at the top of the left-hand column of this page. Additionally, A copy of each issue is mailed to members who opt in to this option in their SIOP profile. Nonmembers may also subscribe to the journal for a fee.
Introducing the New IOP Practice Forum – Call for Papers
With the December 2016 issue, the IOP journal is introducing a new Practice Forum, designed to help advance the effective practice of industrial-organizational psychology through practitioner-oriented articles. This forum will give practitioners an outlet for communicating and/or learning about various practice-related issues.
Various types of articles will be considered for the forum; for example, a case study of an I-O practice intervention, commentaries/critiques on a practice-related service or topic, review of evidence-based best practices for a practice area, discussions of challenging or emerging practice issues with calls for more research, or description of practice-related challenges experienced and how those were overcome.
Submissions will be evaluated on the clarity and quality of the article, contribution to the advancement of I-O practice, relevancy and appropriateness for the forum, originality/creativity of the submission/practice intervention, and effective integration of science with practice.
