Autumn, Winter TIP Updates

As announced this summer, TIP is now organized into themes. From Hugo to AI: Memorable Moments in SIOP TIP History, the autumn issue, is now available. In her Editor’s Column, Adriane M. F. Sanders shares that putting together this issue was a fun excuse to read, reflect, and remember other’s experiences with TIP and SIOP.

Author submissions for the winter issue, I-O in the Classroom: Sharing Our Science via Pedagogy, are due Nov. 1. This issue is dedicated to all things education and training in I-O psychology.

The TIP Editorial Board is looking for articles involving best practices in teaching I-O psychology at the undergraduate and graduate level, exemplary and novel curricular activities, applied/experiential curricular or extracurricular activities, scholarship of teaching, what you love about teaching I-O psychology, conducting I-O psychology research labs, and anything in between.

The Editorial Board would also love articles authored by or coauthored with I-O psychology students from any level (groups of student authors are also encouraged). These articles could align with any of the above topic suggestions or could spotlight student experiences and perceptions, such as where are I-O psychology graduate programs missing the mark for students, what would you tell your undergraduate self about choosing I-O psychology, what does the thesis/dissertation/internship/job market feel like right now, how do you stay sane as a graduate student in 2023, and combating or making peace with imposter syndrome.

Here’s how to submit:

  • Email Adriane Sanders with the subject line: I-O in the Classroom
    • Submit a completed article and any supplemental digital media. Or,
    • If you have an article idea and want feedback, email an abstract.

Articles should be no longer than 3,000 words. We look forward to your engagement in this exciting, themed issue of TIP!
