The Practice Committee generates ideas and produces and curates content relevant to SIOP members who are I-O psychology practitioners at all career stages. They work closely with staff to identify and prioritize needs and implement fruitful ideas for this community. Their primary focus is on generating and managing resources (e.g., content, tools, readings), education (e.g., programs, webinars, other offerings focusing on improving I-O psychology practice), mentoring (e.g., existing and/or new options), and visibility for practitioners. During the content development process, they will coordinate with other groups such as the Visibility, Diversity and Inclusion, and Workshops and Learning Programs Committees. A secondary focus of their work is to help inform and disseminate messaging related to I-O practice with staff guidance, such as through TIP or to non-I-O psychology audiences. Where appropriate, they will help prepare or curate content to support Continuing Education (CE), coordinating with the CE Subcommittee. Volunteers with expertise in practical application of I-O psychology will enjoy their role within this committee.
