Alexandra Harris-Watson, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Purdue University, where she leads the Individual Differences in Groups & Organizations (INDiGO) Lab. Her work bridges deep quantitative expertise in individual differences measurement with research on the collaborative relationships central to the future of work, including teamwork, collective leadership, and human-AI interaction. She applies advanced psychometric and analytical methods, including item response theory, measurement invariance analysis, and multilevel modeling, to questions about how personality and other individual attributes combine to shape team functioning. Dr. Harris-Watson’s research on trait configurations and team composition has been supported by the National Science Foundation and the Army Research Institute, and her work has been published in outlets such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Group & Organization Management, and the Journal of Business and Psychology. She received her Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Georgia and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University.
