Bill Yost is a People Analytics Partner who specializes in engineering enterprise data products, workforce forecasting models, and production AI solutions. Currently at Netflix, Bill works on product strategy, data modeling, and technical delivery for internal talent insights and sentiment analytics platforms. He also builds and deploys generative AI tools, creating conversational LLM interfaces and automated reporting systems that change how leaders interact with workforce data.
Prior to Netflix, Bill spent nearly eight years at Google focusing on analytics infrastructure and data science. Working on the AI for Analytics team, he engineered machine learning products for attrition forecasting and developed conversational SQL interfaces for business leaders. He previously served as a technology lead for Google’s internal “Employee Voice” infrastructure, scaling metric delivery systems to hundreds of users and building custom data pipelines.
An advocate for data education and accessible design, Bill spent two years instructing global cohorts on the HR analytics value chain through ELVTR and is featured in Coursera’s Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate for his data visualization expertise. He began his career helping build the People Analytics practice within Protiviti’s technology consulting arm. Bill holds a B.S. in Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech and lives in Lafayette, Colorado.
