Darrin Grelle is Principal Scientist with SHL and mentors a team of psychometricians focused on developing fair, valid, and accessible cognitive ability and competency-based assessments. Darrin’s primary objective is developing assessments that allow candidates to put their best self forward regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender, or disability. Darrin has published white papers and peer reviewed works on a variety of assessment-oriented research including optimizing computer adaptive algorithms, using practice tests to reduce adverse impact and designing device equivalent mobile assessments. His is currently researching AI resistant assessment design and how d/Deaf candidates interact with different cognitive ability tests. Darrin has a PhD in Applied Psychology from the University of Georgia.
