Emily D. Campion, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. Her research focuses largely on staffing procedures, leveraging machine learning and natural language processing to improve organizational systems, and mitigating employment discrimination. Her work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, as well as disciplinary and applied outlets, and has been recognized for its contributions to the field. Emily is an Associate Editor at Personnel Psychology and an editorial board member for the Journal of Applied Psychology. She works with private and public companies on developing or improving assessment systems. Prior to academia, she was an AmeriCorps member in Washington, D. C., and a reporter in Indiana. She earned her B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University and her Ph.D. in Organization and Human Resources from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York.
