Herman Aguinis is the Avram Tucker Distinguished Scholar and Professor of Management at The George Washington University School of Business. He is a Fellow of SIOP, the Academy of Management, the American Psychological Association, and the Association for Psychological Science, and he served as President of the Academy of Management. He received SIOP’s Distinguished Career Award for Scientific Contributions and the Society for Human Resource Management Foundation’s Losey Award for lifetime achievement in human resource research. For nine consecutive years since 2018, Web of Science has ranked him among the world’s top 1% most impactful researchers in business and economics. His research spans technology, analytics, and the global acquisition and deployment of talent, the subjects of his widely used “Performance Management” textbook. The 6th edition will be released in January 2027. He is the author of 13 books and about 240 refereed journal articles. He has consulted with organizations in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America, including AT&T, Accenture, and the City of San Francisco Police Department. His research has been featured by Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Forbes, Fortune, Business Week, and National Public Radio. He earned his Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
