J. Peter Leeds is a Personnel Research Psychologist at the United States Census Bureau, where he specializes in competency modeling, selection tool development and personnel selection. He has worked for the Merit Systems Protection Board, the Department of the Army, and the United States Postal Service—he has designed validated assessment systems and authored over 40 publications and published reports to Congress and the President on federal human capital policy. He serves as an adjunct professor at George Mason University and the University of Maryland. He earned his doctorate from the Florida Institute of Technology and is the developer of the Theory of General and Cognitive Acuity. A former law enforcement officer, he is also an avid snowboarder and racquetball player. No pickleball.
