Jeff Facteau, Ph.D., is HackerRank’s Chief Industrial and Organizational (I-O) Psychologist, promoting best practices in technical skills assessment at HackerRank and with its customers. He earned his Ph.D. in I-O Psychology at the University of Tennessee, and is a fellow of the Society for I-O Psychology. Jeff has over 25 years of experience directing large-scale projects involving assessment solution design, implementation, and validation across multiple jobs and industries. Jeff also advises organizations about legal and professional best practices in employment assessment programs. He has presented and published original research at scientific and industry conferences as well as in peer-reviewed, scholarly journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Human Resource Management Review, Human Performance, International Journal of Selection and Assessment, and Leadership Quarterly.
