Jeremy Paley is a Senior Program Manager at the Gates Foundation, where he develops and leads employee listening activities that help shape one of the world’s most influential philanthropic organizations. He partners with employees and executives to translate findings into clear recommendations and action, drawing on over 20 years of experience in international development, grantmaking, measurement, and program evaluation.
Before turning his lens inward toward organizational health, Jeremy spent nearly a decade at the Gates Foundation working on global development — most notably as a program officer leading measurement work on the Global Libraries strategy, a digital inclusion initiative focused on expanding public access to information in developing countries. He managed a $20M+ portfolio of grants and contracts with NGOs, corporations, and governments, with notable work in Lithuania and Indonesia. He also served as an international researcher with Mathematica Policy Research, developing theories of change and applying evaluation methods to global philanthropy.
Jeremy’s approach is grounded in evidence, cultural context, and a belief that simplicity and elegance matter — even when working with complex systems. He holds an M.P.P. from Georgetown and a B.A. in Government from Cornell. He is based in Seattle, Washington.
