Dr. Katey E. Foster is a vice president at APTMetrics, where she leads a solution delivery team with expertise in litigation support. Katey provides consulting services in the areas of job analysis, assessment development and validation, compensation, 360-degree feedback, performance management, and human resource (HR) policies and procedures. Her clients include Fortune® 100 organizations across industries, including technology, finance, healthcare, retail, and consumer products, as well as federal, state, and local-government agencies.

At APTMetrics, Katey works with organizations to design and implement fair, valid, and legally defensible HR processes and procedures. Katey has served as an expert witness and consultant to counsel, in addition to providing substantial support on class action employment discrimination matters for both defendants and plaintiffs. She also acts as a settlement expert to help carry out the provisions of programmatic relief requirements in employment discrimination lawsuits. Katey has offered expertise on pay and promotion equity, adverse impact, and assessment validation.

Katey earned her Ph.D. from the University of Akron’s industrial-organizational (I-O) psychology program where she also held teaching and research positions. Prior to joining APTMetrics, she gained experience in performance management, 360-degree feedback assessments, training and survey work with The Timken Company.

Katey has presented on I-O topics for the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the American Bar Association’s (ABA’s) Labor and Employment Law Section, and at local I-O and HR group events. She recently co-authored a book chapter on the legal environment for 360-degree feedback which was published in the Handbook of Strategic 360 Feedback.
