Dr. Mengqiao (MQ) Liu is a Senior Research Scientist at Amazon. She is an industrial-organizational (I-O) psychologist specializing in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs) to human resources and organizational research. Her work focuses on leveraging AI to advance talent assessment, people analytics, and organizational decision-making. Dr. Liu has extensive experience across both industry and academia, leading analytics and assessment initiatives that span AI-enabled tool development, predictive modeling, assessment design, and leadership development in both internal and client-facing contexts. Her research has been published in leading journals including Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, as well as top AI conferences such as the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL). She has been invited to speak at venues including the SIOP Leading Edge Consortium and has delivered guest lectures at institutions such as Carnegie Mellon University.
