Richard Justenhoven, PhD, is an organizational psychologist whose work examines the integration of psychometrics and artificial intelligence in personnel selection and organizational measurement. His research explores how machine learning methods can be embedded within validated measurement frameworks to create adaptive, scalable, and ethically grounded assessment systems. Over the last 15 years, he has held senior research and innovation roles in global talent assessment, including serving as Associate Partner and Product Development Director at Aon, where he led advancements in digital assessment and talent analytics. He is currently Chief Measurement Strategist at Welliba, overseeing research and analytics for AI-enabled measurement. In addition, he serves as a lecturer at a university in Hamburg, Germany, where he teaches and speaks on AI, psychometrics, and digital assessment. He holds two patents related to automated validation methodologies and AI-enabled scoring of interview responses, reflecting his focus on methodological innovation in technology-mediated assessment. He has contributed extensively to scholarship and practice in digital assessment, algorithmic fairness, and explainable AI, and is co-author of Personalauswahl 4.0, an award-winning German-language book on AI in hiring.
