Dear colleagues,
We are conducting a meta-analysis assessing the relationship between performance-based (ability) and self-report (trait or mixed) measures of emotional intelligence (EI). To ensure completeness, we are seeking both published and unpublished work, including manuscripts currently under review, in-progress papers, preprints, theses, dissertations, or ongoing studies.
Relevant studies must include at least one effect size summarizing the link between ability and self-report EI. Papers examining EI’s association with other outcomes are valuable insofar as they include measures of both ability and self-report EI as well as a correlation (or an effect size that can be converted into a correlation) between the two.
Both experimental and observational studies involving human participants are welcomed. Null or negative findings are also welcomed for this meta-analysis.
If you or your colleagues have work that may be relevant, and would like to contribute to our meta-analysis, please complete the following Microsoft form.
Please upload one or more files containing relevant study details, including EI measures, sample characteristics, and all effect sizes pertaining to ability and self-report EI. If available, subscale-level correlations are welcomed for this meta-analysis. If uploading a dataset, please include a corresponding codebook.
Please contact Tyler Robinson at tjrobinson@uncg.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your consideration,
Tyler Robinson and Ethan Zell
