As SIOP continues to prepare for the 2027 SIOP Annual Conference April 14-17 in National Harbor, Maryland, we are delighted to announce that the location for the 2028 SIOP Annual Conference will be Phoenix, Arizona! Please save the dates and make plans to join us April 19-22, 2028.
The Phoenix Convention Center sits just four miles from Sky Harbor International Airport, which serves nonstop flights from 80 U.S. and 20 international cities. Its walkable downtown location is filled with restaurants and other venues to suit a variety of tastes. The Hyatt Regency Phoenix—just across the street from the convention center—will serve as the SIOP headquarter hotel, with seven additional nearby hotels offering special rates for conference attendees.
The Phoenix Convention Center is well suited to welcome our 4,000+ conference attendees, with 1 million sq. ft. of meeting and exhibit space and 99 individual meeting rooms. The center also offers 80,000 sq. ft. of outdoor event space, a bonus to the 325 days of sunshine the city enjoys each year.
Thank you to our Site Selection Advisory Group for their thoughtful research and swift action after learning about the closure of the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, which was the location chosen in 2023 for the 2028 SIOP Annual Conference, prior to any knowledge of the planned construction there.
