Temporary Restraining Order on NIH Research Awards

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) notice announcing a cap on the Facilities and Administration (F&A) rate for all ongoing and new NIH research awards of 15 percent was blocked by a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by federal courts. A hearing to determine if the TRO will be upheld took place on February 21, 2025, and resulted with an extension to the TRO until a final decision is rendered.
