Did you know that hundreds of SIOP Annual Conference attendees each year are first-time participants?
As many can recall from their first SIOP Annual Conference, it can be an overwhelming experience, particularly for newcomers. The SIOP Ambassador Program supports our newest attendees by matching them with people willing to share what they’ve learned from past conferences.
If you have attended a SIOP Annual Conference before and plan to attend again in Denver, please consider volunteering a small amount of time to make a first-time conference attendee feel welcome.
How to sign up:
Anyone interested in participating in the program as an Ambassador can sign up through the SIOP Annual Conference registration process. If you have already registered for the conference but are interested in participating in the Ambassador Program you can go back into My Registrations in Community Hub to add the program.
Commitment:
- Matched Ambassadors and Newcomers will actively communicate with one another via email as well as meet by phone or video call at least once prior to the conference.
- They will also schedule a time to meet during the conference.
