Consider joining a SIOP committee! With a small administrative staff of 11 and over 10,000 members throughout the world, SIOP relies heavily on volunteers to fulfill its mission. Your volunteer service will assure continued vitality of SIOP while deriving real value from your membership. Last year, over 1,500 members volunteered for the Society. So why should YOU consider serving on a SIOP committee? You will develop new personal and professional relationships and enrich your knowledge of the profession while collaborating with current and future I-O psychology thought leaders. Your work advances the profession of I-O psychology by raising public awareness of its value to the business community, and to the public at large. You can assist SIOP in providing even greater value for your fellow members by helping keep their needs in clear focus. Working within the committee structure is a great way to develop your leadership skills and train for possible future leadership roles in the organization. For more reasons on why we want you on #TeamSIOP, visit the SIOP YouTube channel to watch a short clip on volunteering. Only members may participate in SIOP’s committees. In order to access the Volunteer Sign Up System, your SIOP dues must be paid through June 30, 2020. Renew here! Click here to volunteer or view a complete list of SIOP committee descriptions. Please make your volunteer selections by June 30, 2019 to be considered for committee placement. We also recommend updating your membership demographics in your user profile to provide a clearer picture of yourself to the chairs of those committees in which you are interested.
