Songqi Liu received his doctoral degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. His research has appeared in premier management and psychology journals (e.g., Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Psychological Bulletin, and Personnel Psychology) and covered areas including newcomer onboarding and socialization, job search, college-to-work transition, adaptive and maladaptive coping of individuals and teams, overqualification, stereotype threat, and employee work-nonwork interface. He served as the SIOP Membership Committee Chair before joining the Executive Board of SIOP. He is currently a Professor of Management at Georgia State University and teaches classes on research methods and staffing.
