What is organizational change in transforming global contexts?
We’ve built a comfortable industry around “change.” Frameworks. Models. Surveys. Dashboards that keep measuring and predicting readiness, attitudes, perceptions, communication and then calling it “change.”
But are we really studying organizational change when we say we do?
This is the question that we, Ann-Louise Holten, Dave Bouckenooghe, Maria Vakola, Katerina Gonzalez and Gavin Schwarz, ask in our call for papers for a special issue at The Journal of Organizational Behavior.
If you work in, and study, change, and your work can show what we’ve been missing – conceptually and methodologically, this issue is for you!
We explicitly look for papers that push boundaries, bring conceptual clarity, and reveal what scholarship has been missing. Our focus is on bringing clarity, depth, and insight to the foundations of how we conceptualize and study change…because scholarship hasn’t kept pace with how change is evolving in the real world.
