The SIOP Foundation is pleased to share a unique funding opportunity that may be especially relevant to practitioners and applied researchers working with structured interviews in hiring, assessment, and talent decisions.
The Paul Green Research Grant on Structured Interviews will award a one-time $25,000 research grant in 2027 to support research on structured interviews with practical workplace applications. The submission deadline is June 30, 2026.
Proposals will receive considerable weight if they are likely to produce “clear guidance for the use of structured interviews” in practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for practitioner–academic collaborations or for applied professionals who:
- Develop or implement structured interview systems
- Study interview validity, fairness, candidate experience, or AI-assisted interviewing
- Work on competency modeling, assessment strategy, or selection science
- Have access to organizational interview data or field implementation opportunities
The grant is open to SIOP members, including student members, and ongoing projects are eligible. Proposals with organizational partners are also encouraged.
The full details, eligibility requirements, and submission guidelines are available on the website.
Please share this with colleagues or collaborators who may be interested. For more information, please contact the SIOP Foundation by email at siopfoundation@siop.org.
