Program Description:

Dr. Warren Ponder will present findings from his research examining psychological resilience, PTSD, depression, anxiety, suicide risk, and treatment outcomes among military veterans. Drawing upon studies involving treatment-seeking veteran populations, the presentation will explore factors associated with psychological adjustment and mental health difficulties that may be relevant during the transition from military to civilian life. Particular attention will be given to how these findings can inform mental health screening, suicide prevention, access to behavioral health services, and strategies to better support transitioning service members and veterans.
