In a continuing partnership, the SIOP Foundation and the HR Policy Association (HRPA), an organization comprising more than 400 chief human resources officers (CHROs) from the largest employers in the United States, have just released a new report on strategic engagement.
From Satisfaction to Strategy: Transforming Employee Engagement, authored by Ben Schneider, Bill Macey, and Mark Ehrhart, integrates decades of engagement research into a practical guide for human resources leaders that explains what strategic engagement is and how to achieve it and provides examples of successful strategic engagement.
This report is the SIOP Foundation’s second project intended to place the science of industrial and organizational psychology in the hands of organizational decision makers. The SIOP Foundation is currently working with HRPA to determine topics that are of interest to CHROs and then to match those with substantive bodies of research in I-O psychology.
The SIOP Foundation is deeply grateful to the authors for their extraordinary efforts in creating this report and to HRPA for its continued interest in evidence-based management practices.
