This year’s SIOP Annual Conference will feature content area theme tracks, an easy way for attendees to find and attend related sessions. The content area theme tracks consist of back-to-back sessions in a large room on a particular content area, followed by a joint poster session with the top 5 to 10 posters for each of the day’s featured content areas. Sessions for the content area theme tracks were chosen from the most highly rated sessions based on peer reviewer ratings.
“This year, we are experimenting with content area theme tracks to make it easier for attendees to find a full day of sessions on a content area of their interest without having to move from room to room,” said Jeffrey Cucina, 2026 SIOP Program Chair. “Unlike Presidential Theme Tracks with invited speakers we have had in the past, the content area theme tracks were selected from the highest-rated regular submissions to the conference. These sessions will be in the largest rooms of the annual conference and should have plenty of seating. On Thursday and Friday, a coffee break will occur in the Exhibit Hall immediately before the joint poster session, allowing attendees from the content area theme tracks to mingle.”
