Prosocial

This subcommittee has the ongoing goal of increasing awareness of I-O psychology and its value in prosocial spaces. The work includes defining target audiences (e.g., non-profit organizations), understanding their needs, and creating resources that enable us to best serve these audiences. For example, resources could include a guide for I-O psychology professionals interested in joining non-profit boards or materials that help non-profits to understand the value that I-O psychology subject matter experts can bring to their organizations. This subcommittee can also explore ways to connect non-profits with I-O psychology professionals.

Top Trends

This subcommittee highlights timely areas in which SIOP and I-O psychology are well positioned to make meaningful contributions. Selected through a structured review process led by the subcommittee, the Top Trends are further advanced through ongoing efforts to strengthen their relevance, visibility, and impact within and beyond SIOP. This work is done in partnership with SIOP staff, who provide input throughout the process and lead the marketing of the Trends.

White Papers

This subcommittee leads the development of white papers designed to translate timely and important I-O psychology topics into accessible resources for external audiences. This effort includes the strategic creation of multiple white papers each year, as well as continuous refining of the development process to ensure relevance, quality, and impact.
