Friday Seminars
This subcommittee is responsible for identifying speakers and coordinating educational sessions to provide targeted content around professional best practice and cutting-edge ideas that will help shape future work. The Friday Seminars take place during the Annual Conference. This subcommittee works closely with the other Workshops and Learning Programs subcommittees to plan and coordinate an annual slate of professional education/benchmarking sessions (continuing education offered) designed to offer a variety of alternative adult educational program opportunities to meet SIOP member needs for professional development.
Workshops
This subcommittee is responsible for identifying speakers and coordinating Workshop sessions to provide in-depth learning and practical insights on key topics regularly faced by those working in the I-O psychology profession. The pre-conference Workshops are add-on events that take place just before the Annual Conference, and they are known for the additional in depth, unique networking/benchmarking opportunities provided. This subcommittee works closely with the other Workshops and Learning Programs subcommittees to plan and coordinate an annual slate of professional education/benchmarking sessions (continuing education offered) designed to offer a variety of alternative adult educational program opportunities to meet SIOP member needs for professional development.
Work Smart
This subcommittee is responsible for identifying speakers and coordinating sessions for the Work Smart Series. The Work Smart Series is a quarterly virtual workshop that provides expert insights to enhance workplace effectiveness and performance and offers Continuing Education (CE) credits to attendees. This subcommittee works closely with the other Workshops and Learning Programs subcommittees to plan and coordinate an annual slate of professional education/benchmarking sessions (CE offered) designed to offer a variety of alternative adult educational program opportunities for SIOP members/non-members. The Work Smart events are virtual sessions that take place outside of the annual conference, in order to meet the needs of a broader audience.
