Workforce/Workplace Mismatch? Work, Family, Health & Well-Being Conference

The National Institute on Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) cosponsored this invitational conference in June with the Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR), The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Maryland Population Research Center, and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The focus of this conference was to examine the state of the science on research into work, family, and health, and was the first step in NIHs plan to develop a research agenda in this area (see article in July 2003 TIP, p. 168). As part of gathering more information about research and methodologies, they will sponsor another conference and workshop, and possibly one RFA.
