In order to insure that the SIOP Awards Committee has a sufficient number of high quality nominations for all the SIOP awards, we are beginning a new procedure, in addition to the "formal" nomination procedures (to be described in the July issue of TIP) which have always been used. If you know of someone who would be a good candidate for one of the awards, but are unable to put the nomination package together yourself (which isn’t very difficult in most cases), then just pass the name on to the new chair of the Awards Committee, Fran Yammarino. The Awards Committee will consider soliciting a formal nomination for this person. The Awards Committee will take suggestions for the following Awards:

Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award
Distinguished Professional Contribution Award
Distinguished Service Contribution Award
McCormick Distinguished Early Career Contribution Award
M. Scott Myers Award for Applied Research in the Workplace
