September Conversation Series: Alexis Fink

Mark your calendars for the next Conversation Series event of 2023! We are thrilled to present Alexis Fink as our distinguished guest, who will delve into the realm of science for a better workplace.

We find ourselves in a remarkable era for industrial-organizational psychologists. Our work has never been more pivotal or widely embraced. It's paramount that we seize this moment to champion the cause of sound science and best practices in the realm of work and workers, extending our impact beyond the confines of traditional I-O psychology. Let's ponder: What does it mean to be a leader as an I-O psychologist? What opportunities await our field? What should we prioritize to ensure a radiant future for SIOP, for I-O psychology as a discipline, and for the betterment of the societies, organizations, and workers we support through our scientific insights and practical solutions?

Alexis Fink, SIOP president-elect and vice president of People Analytics at Meta, will offer profound insights into leadership from an I-O psychologist's perspective, both within SIOP and as an internal practitioner. With more than 30 years of hands-on experience in I-O psychology, she'll also shed light on opportunities within our field.

We cordially invite you to join the conversation on September 28, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. ET, as she takes the stage to share real-time wisdom and updates across multiple platforms. Your journey toward a more enlightened future commences here.

The SIOP Conversation Series features thought leaders in academia and industry in an “Ask Me Anything” style conversation about their work and I-O-related topics. Listeners will have the opportunity to ask real-time questions and interact with the speaker. Save the date for these upcoming events happening on the fourth Thursday of every month, except for Thanksgiving Day:
