They also serve as a way for SIOP to identify experts in a topic for articles or as a media resource. SIOP professional members may participate in the following four registries: Health, Safety, and Well-Being Health, safety, and well-being in the workplace affect many outcomes of interest to companies, such as employee productivity, turnover, and absenteeism. Research suggests that these outcomes can be addressed through various types of employee wellness programs and training that improves employee well-being in general. Cybersecurity This registry allows SIOP members, members of the media, organizations, policy makers, and other relevant parties to easily identify and contact international I-O psychologists with knowledge, experience, and interest in cybersecurity for research projects; when preparing advocacy statements; and more. Corporate Social Responsibility and Pro-Social/Humanitarian I-O Psychology This registry allows SIOP members, members of the media, organizations, policy makers, and other relevant parties to easily identify and contact those with knowledge, experience, and interest in CSR, HWP, and pro-social I-O, including for engagement with the SIOP United Nations Committee. Advocacy Advocating for the science and practice of I-O psychology to political, economic, and social stakeholders around the world is critical for raising awareness of the value of I-O psychology. This registry provides a centralized source for information about SIOP professionals who have experience with and interest in contributing to advocacy efforts. Importantly, it is also used to support the SIOP Bridge Builders initiative for members who are willing to speak to K-12 and university student groups about the field of I-O psychology.
