How long have you been a SIOP member?
13 years

Current DIP Committee Chair, former LGBT Committee Chair, member of multiple awards sub-committees, member of E & T Committee

Diversity/Inclusion, Prejudice, Discrimination, Stigma, Allyship, Occupational Health

What sparked your interest in I-O psychology?
I learned about "allowable" discrimination—anything not covered by formal/federal legislation —and decided that wasn't aligned with best organizational practices. I've spent considerable time providing voice to under-researched and stigmatized populations.

Which of the Top 10 Work Trends for 2021 do you most strongly relate to and how can I-O psychology practitioners, educators, and students impact this trend?
Diversity/Inclusion. We need to continue to highlight the experiences of many different types of workers in many different types of roles in many different types of contexts. We also need to pay attention to different perspectives from multiple stakeholders to understand interpersonal phenomena more completely.

What advice would you give to students or early practitioners?
Stay active in SIOP and try to make good connections.

What is one of your favorite SIOP Annual Conference memories/highlights?
Getting to see and check in with everyone each year.

Please share one non-I-O-related bit of information about yourself.
I've had more different types of pets than some small zoos.
