Proposal Submission Center Opens Sept. 6

The Submission Center for proposals for the 2024 SIOP Annual Conference opens Sept. 6!

The SIOP Program Committee will continue to offer opportunities to present and/or attend the conference online and in person. The online experience allows for greater inclusion and accessibility for our membership and supplements the premier, in-person experience that SIOP Annual Conference attendees have known from years past. The in-person conference will be held in Chicago from April 17-20, 2024.

The committee is working hard to provide a meaningful, enriching, and exciting conference experience. Your proposals, which are due by 5 p.m. ET Oct. 11, 2023, are an important component of this goal. In this year’s Call for Proposals, we offer three choices when submitting your proposals:

  1. In-person only. These sessions will be presented live in Chicago, IL from April 18-20, 2024. A select few in-person sessions will be recorded for attendees to watch later, and nonposter submitters will be asked upon submission whether their session is willing to be recorded.
  2. Online only. Nonposter sessions (e.g., symposiums, panels, master tutorials) will be delivered concurrently with the in-person program via Zoom. Online posters will continue to be delivered asynchronously.
  3. Flexible. This year, we are offering a new option for those who are open to either session modality (in person or online). Sessions will be assigned a modality if they are accepted.

In-person attendees will be able to present in both in-person and online sessions; however, online attendees will only be able to present in online sessions.

There are a few other changes from last year, so we recommend carefully reading through the Call for Proposals for further details regarding eligibility, submission formatting, and requirements. The submission deadline for proposals is 5 p.m. ET, October 11, 2023.
