Work is getting increasingly complex and automated. I-O psychology expertise is essential to effectively managing the human capital of an organization. This Friday Seminar will explore how those with training in I-O psychology can deliver compelling value to organizations and how I-Os can make best use of their expertise. I-O psychology practitioners today operate in an increasingly complex environment, on topics ranging from workforce and cost optimization, defining alternatives to employee engagement, to unlocking new value from AI and advanced analytics. Many still find themselves producing insights that inform rather than influence.

In an environment of increasing performance pressure, I-Os need to ensure that their activities are valuable and valued by their organizations. This Friday seminar will help participants translate their I-O psychology knowledge, skills, and abilities into compelling outcomes for their organizations. We’ll explore the content domains where I-O can bring differentiated value, as well as exploring strategic topics like building an effective, strategic portfolio of work within an organization, build out strategic metrics to guide investment and capture ROI, and influence key stakeholders. We’ll also explore the critical relationships between I-O psychology and technology in the modern organization. The session will include opportunities to practice new perspectives and skills. We’ll also discuss how Gen AI can be utilitzed the maximize the impact of people analytics and I-O psychology on HR.

Alexis Fink, has spent more than 2 decades leading people analytics, workforce strategy,talent management and large-scale organizational change teams at leading global organizations, including Meta (Facebook), Microsoft and Intel. She has also done extensive work in organizational transformation, organizational culture, and leadership. She is a prolific author, including a comprehensive book on people analytics, Investing in People: Financial Impact of Human Resource Initiatives, and the definitive book on employee sensing, Employee Surveys and Sensing: Driving Organizational Culture and Performance. Alexis is past president of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). She is well-recognized for her impact on the field of industrial and organizational psychology, having been elevated as a SIOP Fellow and awarded SIOP’s Distinguished Service Award in 2019. An industry thought leader, she leads the People Analytics Board at the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp), has been an affiliated research scientist at USC’s Center for Effective Organizations (CEO) for many years, and was chair of the IT Survey Group, an industry consortium dedicated to employee surveys. Alexis earned her PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Old Dominion University.

Cole Napper, PhD, is the vice president of Research, Innovation, and Talent Insights at Lightcast, a globally renowned labor market intelligence firm. He is the author of the recent book People Analytics: Using Data-Driven HR and Gen AI as a Business Asset.  He is also the owner of Directionally Correct, LLC, a content creator (articles, blog posts, and online learning materials), and cohost of the Directionally Correct podcast. A graduate of the doctoral program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Louisiana Tech University, Dr. Napper is a member of DAIOP (Dallas I-O Psychologists Group) and the Dallas-Fort Worth People Analytics Meetup group. He cochaired SIOP’s Leading Edge Consortium on “Advancing People Analytics” in 2025, has published in SIOP’s white paper series, been featured on SIOP’s website, and is a previous member of the SIOP Professional Practice committee and Mentoring subcommittee. Dr. Napper is a full member of the Society of Industrial-Organizational Psychology.

She has held various practitioner and consulting roles throughout her career in people analytics, employee listening, and pre-employment selection. Previous to joining Insight222, she was the global head of People Insights and Analytics at Syngenta in Basel, Switzerland. Previous to Syngenta, Madhura worked for Deloitte, Dell Technologies, and Ford Motor Company in San Francisco, Austin, and Detroit, USA, respectively. Madhura is an active member of SIOP and regularly presents at international conferences like People Analytics World, HR Congress. Her work has been published in Journal of Business and Psychology and Handbook of Positive Psychology and Work.
