The 2026 Master’s Consortium will be held April 29, with a virtual, pre-conference event April 22. We are excited to announce that Master’s Consortium has moved in-person! The Consortium is open to all students pursuing a master’s degree. Session content will be targeted toward second-year students who intend to move into a full-time practitioner role following graduation, but all master’s students are welcome to attend.

Wednesday, April 22

4 p.m. Virtual Master’s Consortium Kick Off: Join co-chairs Juliette Lloyd (Hogan Assessment Systems) and Brooke Ackerman-Clarke (Williams Companies) to meet your Consortium cohort and engage in a guided debrief of your Hogan Assessment results. Registrants will be asked to complete the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) prior to this session and given an interpretive report targeting career development.

Wednesday, April 29

9 a.m. SIOP Consortium Plenary: Welcome session presented by SIOP Consortia organizers (All Consortia members).

9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. The World of Consulting: What is It & How to Excel
Learn about external consulting, exploring the various paths available and the knowledge, skills, and abilities to leverage for success. This session will be led by Amy Renshaw, M.A., who has over 10 years of internal and external consulting experience, including leading key talent development and succession planning initiatives and supporting Fortune 500 companies with talent acquisition and development needs.

10:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. Internal Practices & Navigating HR as an I-O Psychologist
Gain a practical understanding of working in the HR and Talent functions within an organization. Session guest, to be shared at a later date.

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Public Service: Navigating Government / Public Sector Contracting
Explore the nuances of working in the public sector of the U.S. and learn about the ways in which I/Os support assessment-based personnel selection and training initiatives. This session will be led by Veronica LeRoy, M.A., and Anita Pai who will share their experience working at DCS Corporation as Department of Defense contractors.

12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Break for Lunch: Lunch provided for consortia registrants.

1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Inside the Assessment Industry: Expert Panel
Hear from assessment practitioners during this Q&A session as they discuss the application of assessment-based tools in key talent practices. Panelists include representatives from external consultancies (SHL, Talogy, and Hogan Assessment Systems) and talent functions within the organization (Valmont Industries).

3 p.m. Refreshment Break: Light refreshments provided by SIOP.

3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Career Compass: Aligning your Professional Brand:
This hands-on session guides participants in strengthening their professional materials through focused, real-time work on their resumes and LinkedIn profiles. Guided reflection, practical editing activities, and peer feedback will help attendees learn strategies to highlight their strengths, align their materials with future career goals, and translate their aspirations into clear, compelling professional narratives.
