Awards
The Awards Committee supports the facilitation of the organization’s awards, scholarships and grants for the SIOP Foundation. Their primary focus is on overseeing the nomination and selection process while ensuring fairness, transparency, and alignment with strategic goals. Comprised of two operational subcommittees, Recognition Awards and Scholarships and Grants, each of the Subcommittee Leads hold an Awards Co-Chair role. Volunteers with expertise in reviewing proposals or are previous award winners will be best suited for these roles. Awards Committee volunteers may also serve on 1 standing committee or subcommittee in addition to 1 Awards Committee role.

Career Services
The Career Services Committee generates ideas and produces and curates content relevant to SIOP members who seeking career development and growth. They work closely with staff to identify and prioritize needs and offer support. Their primary focus is on generating and managing resources, fostering connections (e.g., networking opportunities, in-person and virtual events during the SIOP Annual Conference), and centralizing I-O psychology open roles via the SIOP Career Center. They often will with other groups such as the Military and Veterans Inclusion Subcommittee and Practice Committee to provide targeted resources. Volunteers with expertise in career support or have navigated career changes will be best fit for roles within the committee.

Diversity and Inclusion
The Diversity and Inclusion Committee oversees and provides guidance to SIOP’s various D&I subcommittees. The chair of the D&I committee appoints the subcommittee leads, receives annual budget requests and periodic updates from each of the subcommittees, and provides integrated updates to their staff liaison and as needed, to SIOP’s D&I Officer. This committee may be asked by the D&I officer to examine specific D&I issues that go beyond the scope of a single subcommittee. The committee may also engage with or gather input from D&I-related SIG leaders regarding planned or ongoing SIOP actions (Note: Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are expected to be launched later in 2026). They may also be asked to collaborate with committees in the Communities pillar (Practice, Teaching, or Research) when those committees work on content that would benefit from a D&I perspective. A secondary focus of this committee’s work is to look for possible connections or shared interests across the subcommittees, for example, with regard to mentoring opportunities. Volunteers for this committee have roles within one of the specific program subcommittees.

Fellowship
The Fellowship Committee supports the facilitation of the organization’s recognition of SIOP Members who are nominated for Fellow status. Their primary focus is on overseeing the nomination and selection process while ensuring fairness, transparency, and alignment with strategic goals. The core work includes recruiting committee volunteers, evaluating and executing the nomination process, making recommendations to the Executive Board, and working with staff to implement improvements. Volunteers who are current SIOP Fellows may hold a role on this committee. The committee’s highest engagement period is typically June through December.

Local I-O Group Relations
The Local I-O Group Relations Committee provides resources and guidance to SIOP member run I-O psychology groups that are locally operated around the world. Their primary focus is on generating and managing resources (e.g., Local I-O Toolkit, local I-O group map), education (e.g., forums, TIP contributions, other offerings focusing on creating locally run I-O groups), and building a local community. Volunteers with a desire to expand the support of I-O psychology professionals will enjoy their role within this committee.

Membership Application Review
Professional SIOP membership applications are reviewed by the Membership Application Review Committee. The core work of the committee consists of interpreting the membership criteria within SIOP’s Bylaws to make membership decisions. This committee also regularly maintains the Greenlight List to streamline applicants from qualified (“greenlight”) university graduate programs. Membership applications are submitted throughout the year, with peak times occurring in February and September. Volunteers for this committee are current professional members of SIOP with an interest in supporting membership decisions.

Membership Insights and Planning
The Membership Insights and Planning Committee maintains and reviews membership and societal data for trends, sharing insights with leadership to inform decisions in support of member retention, growth, and engagement. This committee oversees the Membership Survey and Analytics Subcommittees and may receive requests from the Executive Board for analyses to guide and support SIOP’s strategy. This committee provides recommendations, based on the insights, to other groups and leadership, in alignment with SIOP’s Strategic Goals. They may be asked to examine targeted issues, such as how best to retain a membership group with a high attrition rate. Volunteers at the committee level coordinate and guide the subcommittees’ work, and the chair works closely with their staff liaison. SIOP members with analytic and survey expertise will find roles they enjoy within this committee.
