Four distinguished SIOP members will take their positions on the SIOP Executive Board in April 2026, following the recently concluded annual elections. Volunteer service on the board is a hallmark of dedication and service to the profession, as well as an honor bestowed by colleagues.

The newly elected officers are:

  • Reeshad Dalal – President-Elect
  • Anthony Boyce – Member-at-Large
  • Satoris (Tori) Howes – Member-at-Large
  • Rick Jacobs – Member-at-Large

SIOP thanks all candidates for their willingness to serve and the members who voted in the election for their engagement.

Current President-Elect and Election Committee Chair Richard Landers oversaw the SIOP election.

“After many years of preparation, this year’s election introduced several important and needed changes alongside a few unexpected website challenges. The good news is that we are already taking steps to improve the usability of the election before next year. Even better, our review indicates that these issues likely did not affect the integrity of this year’s results,” Landers said. “Overall, the election was a great success: a competitive and fair fight between the best our field has to offer. I am genuinely excited to begin working with our newly elected Executive Board members as we continue charting a meaningful and forward-looking path for both our field and our profession in a rapidly evolving environment.”

More information about the new officers, including brief bios and summaries of their candidate goal statements, follows. The full elections results are also available.

Reeshad Dalal – President-Elect

I am a professor of I-O at George Mason University. As such, I teach in our scientist-practitioner PhD and terminal MA programs (I serve as director of our MA program) as well as our practitioner-focused Master of Professional Studies program. I am also the faculty advisor to our chapter of the Volunteer Program Assessment, which teaches our graduate students consulting skills while serving nonprofit organizations as clients. I have, moreover, served as chair of the Department of Psychology, on numerous search committees (e.g., for the dean of our Business School), and in several other administrative roles.

I am also deeply committed to evidence-based practice. I have served on the Advisory Board of a startup (oddly, alongside former Governor of Ohio John Kasich), worked on a large cybersecurity project funded by the Department of Homeland Security, collaborated with several well-known I-O consulting firms, and served as an independent consultant. At a personal level, I’m part of a practitioner-scientist couple: my wife, Dr. Carra Sims, is an I-O practitioner and SIOP member!

I have been a SIOP member for over 20 years and a Fellow since 2018. I recently served on the Executive Board as Publications Portfolio Officer. I furthermore chaired SIOP’s Association for Psychological Science committee, was slated to chair the International Affairs Committee (but could not serve because this coincided with my election to the Executive Board), and served on four additional committees. I respectfully submit that these experiences would enable me to make good judgments as president of SIOP.

Anthony Boyce – Member-at-Large

SIOP Member and Fellow: Over 20 years.

  • SIOP Service: Programming Committee Member (2023 LEC), Award Committee Member (Myers 2021-2022; Katzell 2025), Conference Evaluation Chair and member (2019–2020), Community of Interest Subcommittee Chair and member (2013-2014), and annual conference submission reviewer (since 2007).
  • Professional Association Leadership: President, vice president, treasurer, and secretary of the New York Metropolitan Association of Applied Psychology (2016–2019).
  • Practitioner Experience: Principal research scientist at Amazon and former partner at Aon, leading global innovations integrating I-O psychology and artificial intelligence to enhance fairness, efficiency, and impact in hiring.
  • Scientific Contributions: Author of 20+ publications and 70+ conference presentations.
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Former adjunct professor at Marymount University; board of directors for Michigan State University’s Master’s Degree in Work and Organizational Psychology, ongoing mentor to students and early-career professionals.
  • Working Style: Known for evidence-based decision-making, collaborative problem solving, and commitment to excellence in the science and practice of I-O.
  • Education: BS in Psychology, MA in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology all from Michigan State University.
  • Personal: My leisure time is happily spent with my spouse (Christine Boyce, also an I-O!) and young daughters (Sadie is 5 and Adelyn is 7!). I have trace memories of also enjoying backpacking (Appalachian Trail!), reading (science fiction!), and traveling (everywhere!).

Satoris (Tori) Howes – Member-at-Large

I-O psychology has been a defining part of my identity for over 20 years. I earned my MS in I-O Psychology from Missouri State University followed by my PhD in I-O Psychology from Texas A&M University. Following my studies, I worked as a consultant before transitioning back into academia. I have held tenured faculty positions at three separate universities in both psychology departments and business schools. I am currently a Betty S. Henry Amundson Faculty Scholar in Ethics and Professor of Management at Oregon State University.

From a professional standpoint, I have over 100 publications and 125+ presentations. I am the coauthor (with the late Paul Muchinsky) of the I-O psychology textbook, Psychology Applied to Work. I have received numerous teaching and research awards, including SIOP’s Distinguished Teaching Contributions Award. I have been a Fellow of SIOP and of APA since 2019. Currently, I am working with the US Forest Service on sponsored research related to the recruitment and retention of wildland firefighters.

With respect to my service to SIOP, I have served as Membership Chair, editor of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, a TIP columnist (the Academics’ Forum), a Publications Board member, and as a member of numerous committees: Workshop, Awards, Career Services, APA Program, and SIOP Program/Conference (including as the conference student volunteer coordinator). Worthy of mention is that these service commitments are quite broad and reflect a desire to engage with a learn from a variety of members.

Rick Jacobs – Member-at-Large

I hold a bachelor’s degree from UCLA, a master’s degree from San Diego State University, and a PhD from UC Berkeley. I have received several national awards for my work including the Ghiselli award for research excellence from the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (1982), the Yoder-Heneman award for research from the Society for Human Resource Management (1992), the William Owens award for research from the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (2000), the Robert McDonald advancement of organizational research methodology award from the Academy of Management (2010), the Presidential Award for Science and Practice from Society of Industrial & Organizational (2019), and the Jo-Ida Hansen and John P. Campbell Career Mentoring Award from the Society of Industrial & Organizational Psychology (2025).

I am emeritus professor of Psychology/Schreyer Distinguished Honors Professor at Penn State, having served 40 years as faculty. I developed, ran, and sold two successful consulting organizations specializing in I-O psychology: Landy, Jacobs & Associates (purchased by SHL) and EB Jacobs (purchased by PSI/Talogy). I joined Division 14/SIOP in the mid-1970s.

Currently I work on the SIOP-DOJ/COPS task force and the selection committee for the Hansen-Cambell Career Mentoring Award. Previously I served in numerous capacities for SIOP including as the business manager for TIP and the Horizons and Visionaries initiatives. I also served as associate editor for the Journal of Human Performance.

My entire career has prepared me to help move SIOP forward by serving as a Member-at-Large for our wonderful professional association.
