Each year, SIOP and the SIOP Foundation recognize excellence in professional achievement through a range of awards. In 2026, 14 SIOP members were honored with Distinguished Awards for their exceptional contributions to the field.

SIOP Distinguished Awards recognize outstanding and sustained contributions to the field, distinguished early career contributions to the science or practice of industrial and organizational psychology, exceptional service to SIOP, excellence in teaching I-O psychology, or significant humanitarian contributions related to the field.

2026 SIOP Distinguished and Career Award Recipients include:

  • Distinguished Professional Practice Contributions: Suzanne Tsacoumis[HF1.1], PhD and Elizabeth Kolmstetter, PhD
  • Distinguished Scientific Contributions: Paul Spector, PhD
  • Distinguished Early Career Contributions–Practice: Genevieve Ainslie, PhD
  • Distinguished Early Career Contributions–Science: Danielle King, PhD
  • Distinguished Service Contributions: Fred Oswald, PhD and Steve Koslowski, PhD
  • Distinguished Teaching Contributions: Joel Lefkowitz, PhD
  • Wayne Cascio Scientist-Practitioner: David Dorsey, PhD
  • Dr. Jo-Ida C. Hansen and Dr. John P. Campbell Career Achievement in Mentoring Award: Lillian Eby, PhD
  • SIOP Humanitarian Award: Eden King, PhD and Juergen Deller, PhD
  • Dunnette Prize: Camilla Benbow, PhD and David Lubinski, PhD

SIOP also presents awards in the categories of Achievements and Best Papers, Research Grants, and Scholarships and Fellowships. More information on these winners and recognized SIOP members will soon be available in the SIOP Salutes digital brochure, which will be posted on the Foundation Awards and Recognition webpage prior to the SIOP Annual Conference.

These SIOP Distinguished and Career Award recipients will be individually featured in a social media campaign spanning SIOP’s X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram accounts later this spring.
