Earlier this month, the American Psychological Association (APA) sent voting eligible members an electronic ballot notification requesting members to allocate 10 votes among the APA divisions. We are asking these APA members to please participate and allocate all 10 votes to Division 14.

The apportionment ballot asks voter to allocate 10 votes among the divisions and state affiliated associations. These votes are used to determine how many seats each division and state association receives on the APA Council of Representatives.

Why It Matters: The APA Council of Representatives makes decisions about many items of critical interest to SIOP members, including practice issues, advocacy, the science agenda, and research funding. The more representatives we have, the stronger our voice in APA, and the better we can ensure that APA’s activities and spending consider our specific needs.

If you are an APA member, please check your email for a message with the apportionment ballot link. A link can also be accessed through your APA account. If you did not receive your ballot, please contact APA at help@yeselections.com.

Please return your ballot before the close of voting at 11:59 p.m. ET December 18, 2025.
