Hello. I am a doctoral learner under the direction of Professor Dr. Jay Avella in the College of Doctoral Studies at Grand Canyon University. My name is Sophia Shaw. I am conducting a research study to explore how human resource professionals (HRPs) in New York City manage bullying in the workplace.
INCLUSION- I am recruiting individuals that meet these criteria if you:
- Are a human resource professional for five years or more.
- Work for a non-profit organization in New York City.
- Have managed one or more bullying complaints in a non-profit organization in New York City.
- Have used the organization’s anti-harassment policy to address bullying complaints.
EXCLUSION– You cannot be in this study if you:
- Do not work as a human resource professional in a non-profit organization in New York City.
- Are not fluent in English.
The ACTIVITIES for this research project will include:
- An interview 60 to 90 minutes long via Zoom; audio recorded.
- A follow-up with member checking within two days after the interview, where you will receive the interview transcription by email to review, confirm, and clarify statements.
- Return comments by email within two days.
Your participation in this study is voluntary. All participants will receive an Amazon gift card in the amount of twenty dollars, emailed within 24 hours after member checking.
All data in this study will be protected by using letters and numbers rather than actual names.
