The SIOP Student Consulting Competition is back for its fourth year, and this year’s sponsors are SHL and the University of Minnesota OERG. The competition will take place virtually from April 6-14, 2026.
This unique event invites master’s and doctoral students to apply the knowledge and skills they’ve honed throughout their academic careers to solve a real-world business case. Not only does the competition provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, but it also offers a platform to expand your professional network while sharpening critical skills in analysis, problem solving, and public speaking.
Register now to contribute to innovative ideas and solutions during this year’s challenge. The deadline to sign up is 5 p.m. ET Sunday, March 22.
Participants will be organized into teams, with each student representing a different institution. Using their expertise in industrial-organizational psychology, teams will collaborate to develop a comprehensive solution to a complex business challenge. Teams will then present their proposals to SHL and a distinguished panel of judges.
The winning teams will be honored at the 2026 SIOP Annual Conference in New Orleans and will receive a cash prize to celebrate their hard work and success.
