Tracy L. Vanneman, CAE, Executive Director

Tracy L. Vanneman, CAE, has worked in the association and nonprofit management industry for nearly 20 years, with experience in leadership, governance, communications, sponsorship, exhibits, meeting planning, membership, and volunteer management. She earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 2018. Tracy was selected for the position of SIOP Executive Director in April 2020, after having served as Interim Executive Director since June 2019, and working in myriad roles for SIOP from 2008-2018. She had a brief hiatus from SIOP in 2018-2019, working for the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives. Prior work experience also includes nonprofit development, event planning, and print advertising.

Tracy is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, Ohio Society of Association Professionals (for which she serves on the board of directors), and Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives. She is an advocate for her children’s beloved school, the Montessori School of Bowling Green, and lives in Ohio with her husband (a teacher and basketball coach), their four children, and their rescue dog.

Jenny Baker, Sr. Manager, Publications and Events

Senior Publications and Events Manager Jenny Baker prepares TIP and IOP, and many other print and web materials. She also handles much of the conference logistics: preparing printed materials and signage, shipping all materials to the conference site, preparing artwork, and coordinating various events and programs. She also is the staff lead for the Leading Edge Consortium. She holds a bachelor’s in Scientific and Technical Communication from Bowling Green State University. She is the former president of the Leadership BG Alumni Association and BGSU University Women. Jen and her husband Duane live outside BG in the country with their two dogs and two donkeys. Jen enjoys baking, attending concerts, shopping, camping, and traveling.

Scott Case, Business Process Manager

Scott is the Business Process Manager. His responsibilities include configuration, use and troubleshooting of the NOAH association management software system. He also works closely with project owners to understand document business process and project requirements and offer solution options. He also provides support to assist users with installs, updates, and training on current/new application systems. This also includes the creation of documentation for all SIOP members. Prior to SIOP he spent over 20 years in higher education.

Ariel Ellis, Web Manager

Ariel Ellis is SIOP’s Web Manager. She is responsible for planning and integrating all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of web applications. As well as serving as the “caretaker” for all content placed on the SIOP website. Prior to SIOP, she has worked in various industries, ranging from education to automotive.

Ariel earned a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Technology, specializing in web design/development and photography, and a master’s degree in Instructional Design Technology from Bowling Green State University.

Ariel lives in Northwest Ohio with her family and Labrador Retriever, Carlton. In her spare time enjoys crafts, traveling, cooking, and participating in a Yoga or Pilates class.

Heather Flattery, MPH, CHES®, Program Development Manager

Heather Flattery has an educational background with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®).  She has worked in the association and nonprofit management industry for 8 years, with additional experience in the for-profit sector in sales and marketing. Prior work experience also includes communications, sponsorship/fundraising, event coordination, membership development, community outreach and extensive program management.  Heather will play a key role in supporting the Awards and Fellows programs in SIOP as well as continuing the support of the Diversifying I-O Psychology (DIP) Program for long term success.

Heather and her husband Jim live in Northern Virginia with their rescue pup, Chibs, and daughter, Sloane.  Heather enjoys sewing crafts, traveling, cooking, listening to podcasts and great vacations near bodies of water. She also strongly advocates for programs developing young women and girls.

Jamie Keblesh, Finance and Operations Manager

Jamie Keblesh is SIOP’s Finance Manager and will be working on annual budgets, financial reports, and providing support to the Financial Officer and Portfolio Officers. She was previously with ProMedica Health System for six years in Managed Care. The majority of her work involved managing a PHO, Lenawee Clinical Partners, but was also involved with credentialing and contracting for the system. Jamie has her BA in psychology from BGSU and her MBA in finance from University of Toledo (Go Falcons!). She serves as a Board Member for The Avalon Foundation and is a Girls on the Run coach. Jamie has two amazing daughters, Brylee and Cameran. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and having fun with her girls..

Larry Nader, IT Manager

Larry NaderLarry Nader is the IT Manager at SIOP. His responsibilities include database, network, computer, and software management, and helpdesk for SIOP members. He has been with SIOP since 1998. Prior to SIOP he owned and operated a radio station in California for 5 years and a printing/graphic design business for 10 years. He spent 2 years as a technical writer for the Microwave Instruments Division (MID) of Hewlett Packard (now called Keysight Technologies). He has a BA in Communications from the College of Wooster. He attained an FFC general operator’s license to be a radio station Chief Engineer. He has over 30 years of experience with computer technology.

Susan K. Rogers, Business Development Manager

Susan Kesling Rogers, CAE, is Business Development Manager at SIOP. She is responsible for the partner program (exhibits, sponsorships, advertising), I-O Job Network, membership and oversight of continuing education offerings. Susan is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and is was accredited by the International Association of Business Communicators and the Public Relations Society of America. Prior to SIOP, she worked in marketing and membership at the Society for Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP). She also worked in marketing communications for Washington University in St. Louis,  the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, The Genix Group, Ford Motor Company, and The Agency & Partners. Susan is married to Rick Rogers, PhD, an historian who is retired from teaching in the History and Philosophy Department  at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI. She enjoys travel, museums, historical sites, jigsaw puzzles, reading fiction and autobiographies as well as watching CNN and PBS.

Amber Stark, Marketing and Communications Manager

Amber Stark has worked in marketing and communications since 2003, following a short, but insightful, career as a newspaper reporter. Her experience includes managing internal communications, crisis communications, public and media relations, and social media for corporate, higher education, and nonprofit organizations. Special professional interests include corporate social responsibility and creative team leadership.

Amber earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in marketing and communications from Franklin University. Her SIOP responsibilities include media relations, social media and the Source.

 

Amber enjoys reading, crafting, and camping. She makes a mean pistachio icebox cake and rides a four-wheeler. She lives in Perrysburg with her husband Billy and son William.

Jayne Tegge, Volunteer and Member Services Manager

Jayne TeggeThe friendly voice answering the phone for SIOP may be Jayne Tegge, whose goals are to improve the SIOP member and volunteer experiences. Jayne joined SIOP in 2014 and prior to that spent eight years as a librarian, and has also worked at a variety of sales and customer service positions, and even owned a book business at one time. Her responsibilities at SIOP include managing volunteer operations for over 800+ annual volunteers, daily membership processes and data quality.

Jayne graduated from the University of Dayton with a BA in communications. She and her husband, Tim Tegge, are empty nesters. Jayne is an avid cook, cookbook collector, food preserver and all things “foodie.” She has a huge organic garden, yet squeezes in as much reading as possible at all times. She occasionally serves as a roadie for Tim, who is a part-time singer/songwriter, leading a local band called the Black Swamp Boys.

Amber Werner, Membership Development Manager

Amber Werner is SIOP’s Membership Development Manager. She manages membership development activities, including recruitment, reporting of membership metrics/trends, and oversight of the I-O Job Network. Prior to SIOP, she worked in marketing and membership at the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and the American Academy of Audiology. She also worked at Naylor providing job board services to associations.

Amber recently relocated from the east coast to the midwest and enjoys spending time with her two daughters, husband, and two sweet dogs.

Michelle Zavaleta, Communications and Governance Specialist

Michelle Zavaleta serves as SIOP’s Communications and Governance Specialist. Her primary responsibilties revolve around marketing and communications plans at the SIOP Administrative Office. She writes articles and scripts for various channels, conducts interviews, and coordinates annual conference speakers. Michelle has a BA in communication from Bowling Green State University and has all of her experience in non-profit organizations. In her free time, Michelle enjoys time with her family, antiques, baking, and watching documentaries.
