Presenters

Dr. Kusari earned his bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College-CUNY and both his master’s and doctorate degrees in Organizational Psychology from Rutgers University, graduating in 2010. His time at Rutgers was not merely academic; it was a formative period where he studied emotional intelligence in organizations as a Research Fellow, a position he maintained until recently. This immersive experience honed his skills, enabling him to apply scientific research in real-world workplace settings.
His dissertation focused on predicting U.S. presidential outcomes using a novel blend of nominees’ power, achievement, and affiliation needs, extracted from their nomination acceptance speeches. In 2008, Dr. Kusari transitioned to the corporate world by joining Johnson & Johnson. His roles there encompassed various areas, including HR metrics and measurements, predictive analytics, performance management, leadership assessments, employee engagement surveys, and generative AI.
Today, he leads the generative AI strategy for HR, employing cutting-edge methods to drive the design and implementation of innovative strategies. His science-based solutions have significantly improved organizational efficiency, as well as increased employee engagement and retention. Dr. Kusari’s proficiency in data modeling, advanced analytics, and tools like ChatGPT has become a key factor in his success, proving indispensable in his roles.
His journey is a testament to the potential of integrating science and business, creating a harmonious synergy that drives organizational success.

Dr. Abbas Golestani earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, his master’s in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, and his doctorate degree in Computer Science from University of Windsor, Canada. Dr. Golestani is a research scientist at Meta with extensive expertise in large language models (LLMs) and natural language processing (NLP). With a PhD in Computer Science, Abbas has spent over a decade in the field of AI. At IBM, Abbas led a team focused on developing NLP solutions for enterprise applications, significantly enhancing text analytics capabilities. Later, at Meta, Abbas contributed to cutting-edge research in LLMs, driving innovations in advanced text analytics for big text data. Passionate about bridging technology and business, Abbas continues to push the boundaries of AI to solve complex real-world problems.
