Researchers and practitioners working on talent equity and inclusion are navigating a landscape that’s shifted dramatically in the past 2 years, including changes in budget, new legal interpretations, and shifts in the terminology that forms the basis of our work. This Forum is a space to talk honestly about what that’s actually like: how to keep evidence-based practice moving forward when the language for describing it is under scrutiny, how to communicate research findings to leadership that’s grown risk averse, and how to stay connected to rigorous science when funding and institutional support are harder to come by. We’ll bring together academics, students, and practitioners to share strategies for doing this work well under real constraints and to build the kind of research–practice partnerships that can sustain through shifting external climates.
