My name is Cerezmy Salcido and I am an SIOP student member, as well as a doctoral candidate conducting research in the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at Adler University as part of my dissertation. I am conducting a study that explores how DEI practitioners interpret the relevance of their work, adapt their approaches, and navigate organizational and sociopolitical challenges in today’s climate.
I am reaching out to request your assistance in sharing this study with members of your professional community who may be eligible to participate.
Who is eligible?
Participants must:
- Have at least 3 years of experience facilitating DEI trainings at the organizational or institutional level (corporate, nonprofit, higher education, or government).
- Serve as a full-time DEI professional or an external consultant.
- Have facilitated 3–6 DEI trainings in the past 16 months or have played a significant role in developing DEI training curricula.
What does participation involve?
- A one-time, confidential interview (45–120 minutes) conducted remotely via Adler Teams, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or phone.
- Open-ended questions about their perspectives and professional strategies in DEI training.
- With consent, the interview will be audio-recorded for accurate transcription and analysis.
Confidentiality: All information will be kept confidential. Identifying details will be removed from transcripts, pseudonyms will be used in reports, and only de-identified data will appear in publications.
Next Steps:
Adler University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) requires that I obtain written consent from your organization before approving my research.
If you are willing, I would be grateful for your organization’s written consent to proceed with this step. Afterward, I will provide the approved flyer for distribution, so that interested individuals may contact me directly at csalcido@adler.edu to receive more information or begin the eligibility screening process.
Please download this flyer to learn more information.
