SIOP recently announced its new strategic priorities and objectives designed to shape the future of the Society for the next 3 to 5 years.

These new strategic priorities are:

  1. Research and Practice
  2. I-O Psychology Education and Development
  3. Member Value
  4. Visibility
  5. Vitality

This article is the fifth of five that will dive into each priority in detail.

  1. Vitality – Ensure SIOP’s long-term health by promoting operational excellence and strategic investment of resources
5.1. Integrate multi-year, scenario-based financial modeling into resource allocation and investment decisions
5.2. Diversify revenue sources to strengthen organizational resilience
5.3. Enhance the quality of the website and other communication and networking channels
5.4. Cultivate a diverse membership pipeline that supports inclusiveness and diversity of thought
5.5. Develop the capabilities of professional staff, volunteer leaders, and volunteers

A strong, well-run SIOP is better able to advance all our strategic objectives. We will apply what we know about organizational effectiveness to make smart resource allocations, build a diverse membership pipeline, and develop the capabilities of our staff and volunteers.

The first, second, third, and fourth articles in this series are available on our website.

More information will be shared here in the Source and on the Strategic Priorities webpage in the coming weeks. Please familiarize yourself with these priorities and follow along in the coming months as we share specific progress made in each of these areas.
