We look forward to welcoming in-person and virtual attendees to a wide array of sessions at the 2024 SIOP Annual Conference. We anticipate strong in-person attendance in Chicago, and we are dedicated to providing virtual offerings that allow our members to attend, participate, and connect from wherever they are.

Register Now for the Master’s Consortium

The SIOP Consortia Committee has once again developed four exciting consortia as part of the 2024 SIOP Annual Conference. We will highlight all four here in the Source, starting with the Master’s Consortium, which is geared toward second-year students who intend to move into a full-time practitioner role following graduation.

This year’s Master’s Consortium will be conducted online in six, 2-hour sessions across a 3-week period in late March and early April.

This year’s topics will include:

  • Applying and Interviewing for Roles and Negotiating Salaries
  • Internal and External Consulting
  • Working as an I-O in the Government
  • Alternative Career Paths for I-Os

Each session will feature speakers representing a broad spectrum of applied roles who will focus on their journey from a master's-level I-O student to their established career and dive into what it’s like to be a practitioner in their space.

In addition to virtual networking throughout the six online sessions, this year the Master's Consortium is offering an optional in-person networking opportunity on Wednesday, April 17. If you are planning to be in Chicago for the conference, please make plans to attend this fun, engaging event.

Register for the consortium when you register for the conference. The registration deadline is April 1! If you have already registered for the conference, you can go back and add a consortium at any time.

If you are not a student or early career professional, please consider sharing this information with a student or colleague; the goal of the consortia is to provide valuable and relevant programming while creating an opportunity for networking and building relationships with other SIOP members.

SIOP Gives Back

The connection between I-O psychology and corporate social responsibility and prosocial activities is strong. Help us live out these ideals at the 2024 SIOP Annual Conference Closing Event where attendees will have the opportunity to build backpack kits and write notes to children and youth in Cook, DuPage, and Lake counties in Illinois and Indiana. This opportunity is made possible through a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago, an affiliate of the oldest, most respected mentoring organization in the U.S. Attendees can also visit the Big Brothers Big Sisters booth in the Exhibit Hall during the conference to learn more.
