September SIOP Conversation Series: William Luse

Save the date for the fifth SIOP Conversation Series event of 2022. This month’s event features William Luse, who will talk about science for an effective post pandemic workplace.

Managing the transition into post pandemic work was the #3 Top 10 Work Trend of 2022. This trend stresses the importance of figuring out what will serve the workforce and customers/clients best in remote, in-office, or hybrid settings. What data should companies be looking for to determine their best option? What talent-related practices and structures would need to be updated if a company switched to a new way of working? What have we learned from past experiences?

I-O psychologists help organizations in applying evidence-based practices but may also challenge organizations to think outside of the box. They facilitate implementations and effectively communicate options and opportunities. I-O psychology can empower companies to critically evaluate what their goal truly is and which practices truly help to achieve it.

Luse is currently an assistant professor of Management in the department of Management and Leadership in the College of Business and Public Management at the University of La Verne in California. Join our conversation from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. ET September 29 live on these channels:

Organized by the SIOP Electronic Communication Committee, the SIOP Conversation Series features thought leaders in academia and industry in an “Ask Me Anything” style conversation about their work and I-O-related topics. Listeners will have the opportunity to ask real-time questions and interact with the speaker.
