Early Career Practitioner Consortium Offers Unique Career Development Experience

The SIOP Consortia Committee has once again developed four exciting consortia as part of the 2022 SIOP Annual Conference. We will highlight all four here in the Source, starting with the Master Consortium and Doctoral Consortium, and continuing today with the Early Career Practitioner Consortium. We’ll feature the Early Career Faculty Consortium in a future issue.

The ECPC is a career development experience for early career I-O professionals who work in nonacademic settings. This in-person, 1-day event scheduled for Wednesday, April 27, is designed to help you uncover strengths, learn more about career opportunities, and gain key skills to be successful as an I-O practitioner.

You must be within 5 years post-degree (PhD or terminal master's) to participate; participation is limited. Complete this application and register for the consortium when you register for the conference. Any applicants deemed ineligible to attend will have their registration for the consortium refunded in full.

The Early Career Practitioner Consortium includes:

  • Keynote presentations on important I-O skills you may not have learned in grad school.
  • Access to a leading personality assessment to help you learn more about yourself in work settings.
  • Interaction with seasoned I-O practitioners in mentoring and panel conversations.
  • Exploration of career trajectories through networking and peer coaching in small groups.

Email Early Career Practitioner Consortium Chairs Stephanie Murphy or Nchopia Nwokoma if you have any questions.
