SIOP Virtual Learning


As part of its commitment to providing educational programs on important topics related to the workforce and the workplace, SIOP is pleased to offer occasional virtual workshops.

Led by highly accomplished researchers and practitioners, SIOP workshops provide scientifically derived insights and evidence-based recommendations on timely workplace psychology and workforce management topics.

Workshops are open to the general public, but SIOP members are able to attend at discounted rates. individual workshops may offer CE credits. Credit availability for specific workshops will be indicated in the sections on this page describing general requirements for the credit-granting organization.

Organizations have been faced with rapid downsizing, expansion, or repositioning of their business strategies due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This has made the conversation around employee redeployment a hot topic, however, direction on how to effectively and efficiently tackle redeployment remains scarce. In this session, we will discuss some of the challenges of redeployment, how it is commonly addressed, how IO psychology research can help us in addressing this challenge, and some possible approaches to ease this highly complex task.

The workshop, Tackling Employee Redeployment—Ensuring Gain With Less Pain, on May 26, 2021, will offer attendees 1.0 continuing education credits for psychologists for the full program. SIOP saught corporate or organizational sponsorship of this program to augment financial support for the Society.

To obtain continuing education credit for psychology purposes:

• Individuals must attend the full session to obtain credit as partial credit is not awarded.

• Attendees must remain in the session for the entire workshop.

• SIOP will issue documentation within 30 days post-event after verifying attendance and will grant credit to those who have stayed online for the entire session.
